The Skill Mill Durham have been undertaking a project for Durham Woodland Revival. Durham Woodland Revival is a Heritage Lottery Fund supported project that aims to manage woodlands and revitalise the forestry sector in County Durham.

The ‘Sunderland Bridge/Croxdale and New Brancepeth Deerness Project’ aims to conserve and restore the network of woodlands and strengthen resilience against diseases and the effects of climate change. In addition, it will reconnect communities and landowners with woodlands, providing support to manage them effectively. The Skill Mill team are undertaking path clearance work and installing public walkways over water logged areas to improve public recreational access.
