Launch of Big Spring Clean

Dumped waste was removed from a river and rubbish was cleared from ancient woodland to mark the start of this year’s Big Spring Clean.

The clean-up operation was held around ancient woodland in the River Gaunless in Bishop Auckland, and the litter pick further along the river in West Auckland.

The river clean up took place on Wednesday 24 February and marked the big launch of the Big Spring Clean 2016!
