Peterlee Town Council 'Bring Back The Denes' Project

Peterlee is a vibrant town with a population of around 23,000, set amongst a stunning local environment. The town is built on rolling hills overlooking the Durham limestone coast to our east and and surrounded by rural farmland to our north, west and south.

The Skill Mill Durham have been working on the 'Bring Back The Denes' project. Brendan Arnell, Parks & Special Projects Team Leader for Peterlee Town Council, has praised the work which The Skill Mill have carried out over the past year.

Brendan said,

"We are really appreciative of the help that the lads and Peter have given us over the year and the “Bring back the Denes” project has worked wonders in the reduction of fires, vandalism and also in the reduction of litter we have collected, due to the cutting back of the undergrowth etc".

There has been an outstanding effort from all of the young people involved throughout the project.
