Flood Prevention Work

The Skill Mill Surrey have been working in partnership with Surrey County Council, carrying out flood prevention works.

Flooding from rivers, ground and surface water poses a high risk in parts Surrey. Surrey County Council and its partners recognise this and are committed to doing what they can to reduce these impacts.

One of The Skill Mill's main aims is to improve the flow of watercourses contributing to the reduction of flood risk and provide urban and rural environmental improvement services. The Skill Mill has partnerships with a number of water friendly organisations including Northumberland Rivers Trust, Canal and River Trust, Thames Water, Severn Trent Water and Northumbrian Water.
