The NINEVEH Charitable Trust

The Skill Mill has received grant funding from The NINEVEH Charitable Trust. The NINEVEH Charitable Trust supports a broad range of UK-based projects and activities of benefit to the general public, with an emphasis on promoting a better understanding of the countryside.

The Skill Mill is a multi-award-winning social enterprise which provides employment opportunities for young people aged between sixteen and eighteen. We employ only ex-offenders, actively reducing reoffending whilst increasing engagement, participation, employability and educational levels of the young people to increase their life chances. The Skill Mill offers employment which is primarily outdoors and physically challenging. The combination of physical work in nature has demonstrable physical and mental health and wellbeing benefits.

We would like to thank The NINEVEH Charitable Trust for awarding us this grant, and supporting us to create further opportunities for more disadvantaged young people whilst improving the local environment.
