World Cleanup Day was held on the 19th of September. The Skill Mill was the UK lead for the event and the theme was cigarette butts. The event was a huge success again, and whilst we await the official results, The Skill Mill would like to say thank you to all of those involved.
Cleanups were organised in countries and territories on all continents, and for the UK the event was huge! Participants included large corporations, local authorities, small businesses, community groups and individuals. We helped to organise over 200 events across the UK, and the feedback we have had so far has been outstanding.
Further to this, the work of The Skill Mill is intimately connected with the UN Sustainability Development Goals. Find out more in our 'About' section. There will be a meeting with the UN Economic and Social Council in the near future to discuss the goals which World Cleanup Day meets.
