Invasive Plant Species Removal - South Downs National Park

The team have been working at South Downs National Park recently. The South Downs is the most populous of the UK’s National Parks. 117,000 live and work within the boundaries with an additional 2 million people living within 5km of the park. The team have been working alongside South Downs National Park Rangers to remove invasive plant species.
Bognor Regis Town Council
​
Bognor Regis Town Council (TC) is the parish council serving the central area of the seaside resort of Bognor Regis in West Sussex. The team have been working alongside Bognor Regis TC, maintaining local community spaces. Our young people take pride in their work, and it's fantastic to see the difference they make to their local areas.

Felpham Allotments
​
Felpham Allotments and Garden Society supports members in pursuit of their gardening activities fostering an awareness of the benefits of growing and eating fresh vegetables. The team have been carrying out a range of improvement works at the site.

Petworth Farm and Felpham Parish Council
​
The team visited Petworth Farm and the Felpham Parish Council Allotments. Our young people gained design and joinery skills whilst working on an enjoyable task involving teamwork and creativity. They also took part in horticulture, planting lettuces, herbs, small willow trees.

Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS)
​
The team have been working towards their CSCS cards, which will enable them to secure future employment on construction sites. There have been some great passes, with scores of 48/50! A brilliant achievement for the team, we can't wait to see what they get up to next.

Rustington Parish Council
​
The Skill Mill West Sussex have been doing some environmental tasks for Rustington Parish Council. The feedback received has been great, the team look forward to continuing their work here!
